Immigration Assistance Jobs


Immigrants often find it difficult to navigate the complicated immigration process, but there are several different immigration assistance jobs out there to help those in need. While the requirements for these jobs vary, they typically include knowledge of essential duties and skills, fluency in English and Spanish, and experience working with immigrant populations. Other essential skills include excellent writing and editing skills, organizational and computer skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.

As an immigration services officer, you will analyze applications and interview applicants, and make decisions about whether to grant or deny an application. You'll also be interacting with community groups, the media, and attorneys. You'll also be able to represent the Department of Homeland Security in court proceedings.
